Privacy policy

CafeScoop is a group-ordering system for neighborhood cafés. Data controller: CafeScoop (Ioannis Kaperdas). Privacy contact: ioannis.kaperdas@gmail.com.
What data we collect
Group members: the name you type, the items you order (including any notes), your language, and — only if you enable it — an email for the reminder. You never create an account; an anonymous session in your browser identifies you. Clearing your cookies disconnects you from your history.
Organizers and café staff: sign-in email and display name.
Technical: error logging (Sentry) to keep the service stable. We use no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies.
Why we use it
To run the group order (your group and the café see your name and items), to send the reminder you asked for, and to keep the service secure. The reminder email is used for that reminder only — clear it any time on your group page.
Where it is stored and who it is shared with
Data is hosted with EU providers: Supabase (database, Frankfurt), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring, EU). We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order history is kept so that "My usual" and the café's statistics work. You can ask us to anonymize your details (name, email, notes) at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase/anonymize, object, and port your data — contact ioannis.kaperdas@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
